About Adam

Adam Simpson joined Olvera Advisors as a Director in April 2025, having previously held senior roles in corporate advisory and at a Big 4 bank over the past 14 years. He has extensive experience in trading businesses through both restructuring and debt recovery processes, effecting sales and allowing for recapitalisation where possible.

Adam's range of experience allows him to engage with a variety of clients and stakeholders across many industries, providing commercial and timely solutions. With a strong focus on corporate advisory, debt recovery, restructuring and turnaround, he is passionate about helping clients ranging from SMEs to large, listed companies, in achieving their goals.

Significant Engagements

Solar Farm Receivership of a solar farm located in Hume, ACT, and subsequent realisation of the asset for in excess of $30M via a share and unit sale following a fulsome marketing campaign. 

Property Receivership Receivership of a parking management business and associated property holdings in Adelaide, SA, including the sale of the business and more than ten commercial and residential properties for in excess of $42M. 

Mining Services Voluntary Administration and subsequent Deed of Company Arrangement of a mining services business with over $10M of employee related liabilities and over 150 staff, located in Mackay, QLD. Substantial litigation during the deed period resulted in costs awarded in favour of the deed administrators.  

Construction Voluntary Administration and subsequent creditors' trust of a mid-tier construction business in Perth, WA (turnover in excess of $100M), with an extended VA period to allow for completion of projects and the return of surety bonds and guarantees. 

Scrap Metal Yard Voluntary Administration of scrap metal yards in Melbourne, VIC, achieving an orderly wind-down of operations and sale of the business that allowed employee entitlements to be paid in full. Process included in excess of $11M of transactions, including $3M of secured creditor funding.  

Safe Harbour Administered various ASX-listed Safe Harbour engagements across a range of industries, with successful implementation of corporate structuring plans and operational turnaround. 

Corporate Advisory Administered multiple engagements completing counterparty due diligence, pre-lending reviews, and investigative accountant reports. 

Distressed Loans Managed a portfolio of troublesome and impaired loans across hospitality, property, construction, manufacturing, retail and medical, including exposure to syndicated and offshore debt.
