Restructuring/Insolvency Manager

Due to growth of the firm, Olvera Advisors has a new opportunity for a self-motivated manager or assistant manager to provide a seamless link between the leadership team and team members in the restructuring industry. As a manager at Olvera you will be responsible for a diverse range of engagements including which may include corporate restructuring, asset divestment projects and safe harbour engagements. You will work on a range of diverse high-profile clients and gain experience in industries including hospitality, retail, mining and media.

You will take ownership and be responsible for providing high quality reporting on financial analysis, business operations and function in an outcome driven environment. The role will provide a hands-on opportunity and supported career where progression is based on ability and knowledge.

Overview of Role

  • Day to day management of the restructuring team and restructuring engagements (including formal and informal engagements)
  • Oversea investigations, reporting and statutory compliance
  • Liaise with creditors, lawyers, directors and stakeholders
  • Ownership, and responsibility for team workflow and outcomes
  • Ownership of team members performance and development
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining risk management both internally and client facing
  • Contributing to lead generation and business development
  • Developing and implementing systems and processes to ensure a high professional standard, aligning the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Prepare high quality reports and documentation
  • Ensure cases progress efficiently and in line with legislative requirements

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you will be CA qualified (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate strong investigative skills, strategic thinking, statistical analysis capabilities and possess the following skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (i.e., degree in commerce/economics and/or law, majors/minors in accounting or finance)
  • Positive, cooperative and inclusive attitude
  • Excellent communicator and well-honed interpersonal skills with an ability to build on relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated project management skills and outcome focussed
  • Solid ability to articulate concepts in both written and oral form
  • Aptitude to identify, scope and solve problems
  • Strong initiative and business acumen
  • Strong financial modelling experience will be an advantage
  • Candidates with a Transaction Services/Advisory or Investigative Accountant background are also considered suitable for this role
  • Experience in insolvency, ideally at a supervisory or manager level will be looked upon favourably
