Significant Engagements
Procuret VA: Voluntary Administrators and subsequent Deed Administrators of an ultra-automated invoice lending platform for B2B transactions. Continued to trade on the lending business and successfully recapitalised the business via a DOCA resulting in refinance of the secured debt in full, continued employment of all employees and ability to give the group a fresh start for future success.
Nepean River Diary VA: Voluntary Administrators of a leading beverage manufacturing business based in Winston Hills, NSW with a state of the art facility. VA included extended sale campaign, successful realisation of significant plant and equipment, dealing with complex security right claims and enabling a return to secured creditors.
ASX Listed Kaddy VA: Voluntary Administrators and subsequent Deed Administrators/Trustees of B2B technology platform that provides beverage suppliers an end-to-end supply chain solution. Continued to trade on the 120 strong workforce whilst going concern sale and recapitalization successfully implemented via a DOCA.
Focus on Furniture VA: Voluntary Administrators and subsequent Deed Administrators of national furniture and bedding retail and online businesses. The group consisted of 13 entities, ~270 employees and turnover of ~$140M. Continued to trade on the business and ran a robust sale campaign whilst also considering recapitalization proposals. 15 unprofitable stores were exited to ‘resize’ the business and make it profitable. The recapitalization process was approved by creditors (including secured creditors) and the company continues to trade.
11 Unit Construction Receivership: Receivers and Managers of a 80% complete, 11 apartments development is located at Glen Iris, Victoria. Project involved completing construction, selling down units and enabling significant return to secured creditor.
36 Unit Construction Receivership: Receivers and Managers of a 80% complete 36 residential development in Maribyrnong Victoria. There was a dispute with the developer and builder of circa $1m and the builder had issued a show cause notice. Despite a number of pre-appointment issues to deal with, construction was completed and all units sold enabling significant return to the secured creditor.
43 townhouse Construction Receivership: Receivers & Managers of a 10% complete, 43 townhouse units and civil works in Glen Roy, Victoria. Upon our appointment, nine townhouses were partially completed and limited other works had been undertaken. We took control of the development, obtained additional post appointment funding, completed all construction works and sold down the townhouses and residual land.
