His background includes working with both large corporations and mid-market sized businesses across a variety of industries, including retail, property and construction, energy, mining, hospitality, and agriculture.
Ameer accepts appointments for all types of external administrations, including voluntary administrations, receiverships, deeds of company arrangements, and liquidations. His approach is client-focused, commercial, and stakeholder-aware.
Significant Engagements
Probuild: Trade-on and sale of one of Australia’s largest commercial construction groups, with several large projects across Australia. Personally managed a ~$200m construction project site in New South Wales, and successfully negotiating and implementing the orderly handover of the project to the project Principal.
Virgin Australia: Trade-on and sale of a major Australian airline. Responsible for project managing the assessment of trade supplier claims in excess of $1b for dividend purposes.
Colette by Colette Hayman: Trade-on and sale of a women’s fashion retail chain with a national footprint across Australia and New Zealand. Successfully traded-on the business during a difficult COVID-19 lockdown period, reduced overheads and successfully completed a sale of the business through a Deed of Company Arrangement.
Dyldam Group: Conducted 15 liquidations across a large property development group. Responsible for engagement strategy, realising assets, and conducting litigation against several parties.
Patinack Farm: Voluntary administration of nine companies with equine property holdings and thoroughbred horses. Successfully realised specialised assets to achieve returns to secured creditors.
